CRM 2011 freeze when importing solution RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    I am trying to figure out anyone had the same experience when trying to import solution into CRM 2011. My solution freeze the CRM sometimes on import. This is once fixed by repairing the CRM. But I believe this is not a viable solution. Could anyone give me an idea how to fix this.

  • Hi,

    Can you add these registry keys before importing the organization and try it.

    Registry Location: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM

    1. Right click on the blank space ,New à DWORD value

    Enter the key named OptimizeOrgImport

    Modify the value of the key to “1”

    2. Right click on the blank space ,New à DWORD value

    Enter the key named OLEDBTimeout

    Modify the value of the key to "86400" in the Value data box, click Decimal in the Base option, and then click OK. 

    3. Right click on the blank space ,New à DWORD value

    Enter the key named ExtendedTimeout

    Modify the value of the key to “1000000”

    Start import the organization after creating these registry keys.

  • if installing rollup 5 doesn't fix the problem then the solution described by Khaja has worked for me before.  You basically need to extend the timeout value
