  • Question

  • I am setting up an Edge server in a perimeter network between 2 ISA Firewalls.  When setting up the Edge Server in a consolidated configuration (Access Edge+Web Conferencing) it asks for IP's and FQDN for 2 interfaces, Public and Private.

If the Edge is in a DMZ and is a Workgroup member, why is it asking for an FQDN?

The Edge server only has 1 NIC.  Why is it asking for an internal & external address.  This would mean that there should be two NIC's?

  • Two network adapters are required for the Edge server.  From section 1.3 of OCSEdgeServerDeploy.doc:

    ·         Use a computer that has two network adapters to provide physical separation of the internal and external network interfaces.

Certificates are required on both interfaces.  The FQDN (DNS name) for each interface will match the certificate subject for that interface.
