Hi ,

How to populate the look up filed in the CRM .

ex: 1st form 2 fields are there , area(text) and areamanager(look up)

2nd form areamanager(text) and area name(look up)

my requirement is i can write the area automatically populate the area manager.

i am trying java script,but not working.

help me.

I think the reason it might not be working is when you update lookups you have to put a number of values rather than just the name.

I blogged about adding a user and you have to put in the user id, the entity type and the fullName

var setUservalue = new Array();

2 setUservalue[0] = new Object();

3 setUservalue[0].id = Xrm.Page.context.getUserId();

4 setUservalue[0].entityType = 'systemuser';

5 //setUservalue[0].name = retrievedUser.FullName;
