Problem with the forum in IE8

Question
-
Hi everybody,
I've found, that I can no longer use this forum using IE8. It worked OK in the morning, but now the pages simply come blank. I'm writing this post from FF.
I'm also experiencing similar issues with ASP.NET forums starting last night, though in the ASP.NET forum case at least half of the pages load properly.
I'm trying to determine now if this is something going on locally (virus?) or it's a recent problem with the forums.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi,
This issue is no repro in IE8 at this point, so we don't believe it is specific to any browser, but most likely has to do with server performance during the busy part of the day. We have checked our servers, and although we did not find anything that can be specifically tied to this issue, we did some maintenance on them a few at a time during the low traffic period, and are watching them for any anomalies afterward.
Please let us know if things improve or if you are still having these issues. We really appreciate the bug reports, and want to nail down this elusive issue.
It would really help in the future if you could tell us the approximate time of the issues (and what time zone you are in), the URL of the Forums thread you are posting to, as well as any information you may be able to get from a Fiddler or httpwatch trace, such as a server name. Any information you can give us is helpful in tracking down events for your specific issue.
Thanks!

We've had intermittent issues from some of our servers. Some servers we had to remove from our rotation (cluster). Some we needed to recycle the app pool.

MSDN in general is having issues. I believe it's due to Office 2010 Beta Downloads, but hotmail/forums/msdn have been iffy all day. In fact, I just got an unexpected error trying to post this very post.

Thanks David.
We'll check our backend servers for any anomalies.

I posted this issue on July 13 in the IE8 Answer Forum. This morning Vincenzo pointed me over here. So I'm re posting the info I sent. As far as time of day is concerned, I have checked at all times day and night. For three days it's been the same.
If I try in Firefox at the same time it always works. I can even run Firefox and IE8 side by side. IE is blank, Firefox is fine. I don't know how servers deal with different browsers etc so I have no idea where this problem lies. But I did notice the "Style" anomily noted below if that helps.
This was my original post:
When I access a page in the MS forums all of the forum windows are showing blank white except for the footers and headers. This is only a problem in MS Forum pages. Other MS site pages are OK as are every other Web page I've checked.
I discovered that by going to the IE View menu and selecting Style..no style, in place of default I am able to see the page body.
I thought this would be a big help as when the page was blank I was wondering about how I can ask a question about not being able to ask any questions :-). The pages are distorted in the extreme however and very difficult to navigate. Worse yet the submit button doesn't work so after entering the message I couldn't send it (I'm USING FIREFOX now to send this message, maybe knowing that might act as an incentive to MS support to come up with a quick solution...just a joke!).
Try setting your Style to No Style and see what I mean. One more thing, strangely, if I save the web page and reopen it everything looks normal. But it is static and I cant navigate from it. Thanks. -
I'll ping our support team on this.
Thanks.
