Enterprise Library 4.1 Caching Application Block and impersonation RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using the enterprise library 4.1 caching application block in a WCF service application.  The WCF service application is configured to use impersonation <identity impersonate="true" />.  This is required for a variety of reasons and we cannot change.  When we spawn a new thread within the context of the WCF service and attempt to use the caching application block, we get an exception that reads:

An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for cachingConfiguration: An error occurred while attempting to impersonate.  Execution of this request cannot continue.

When we run this same code without spawning a new thread, it works fine.  Additionally, when not running in the context of a WCF service, using the caching application block in a newly spawned thread works properly.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Thanks
