Outbound ring timeout RRS feed

  • Question

  • In calling from any OCS client outbound to some long-ring #'s the system seems to just disconnect the call.  We're using a Dialogic media gateway over an ISDN PRI.  All generally works fine except this.

In doing research on the Dialogic side it seems best to configure a timeout from the SIP side (OCS) but I can't find anywhere to set this.  On the Dialogic side the log is saying the calls are ending normally - aka, OCS is ending the attempt.

Any ideas?  Driving me batty and making some users not happy.

  • Hi trevor,

as far as I know the Dialogic Gateway, exaclty SIPcontrol needs to tell OCS Mediation Server that the PSTN side of the Gateway (DIVA server Card) is still in progress. OCS Mediation will patiently wait, until it gets an cancel from SIPcontrol.

If possible, try using e.g. Wireshark to log the SIP communication between SIPcontrol and OCS Mediation Server, to verify which side is really ending the call.

btw. please make sure your running the current version of SIPcontrol.

    Best regards,
