Windows Vista, Office 2007 not compatible with ACT by Sage RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows Vista and Office Home Basic 2007 installed now.  The Office 2007 is not compatible with ACT 9 -- I can't send emails from that program using Outlook.

Can I install my old MS Office XP 2002 discs over the Office 2007 or should I remove Office 2007 first?   My main goal here is to be able to send emails from my ACT database program.

    Thanks in advance.

If you try to install MS Office XP 2002 without uninstalling Office Home Basic 2007, you will just have both Office XP 2002 and Office Home Basic 2007 installed.  So yes, uninstall Office Home Basic 2007, then install MS Office XP 2002 and you should be ok.

NOTE: You will need a Product Key for Office XP 2002. The Product Key from Office Home Basic 2007 will not work in Office XP 2002.
