    please help...

I got the antivirus 2009 and it looks like I deleted it everywhere but the icon is still showing up in control panel.  It is not letting me delete it.  I even tried to drag it to the recycle bin.  I keep running a scan and nothing shows up--- and I run searches and it is only showing it in my control panel.

    Please help..

    thanks..

  • I have just had the same problem solved!  If you go to http://pcbutts1.com/downloads/tools/tools.htm, the author has set it up specifically to delete antivirus 2008 or 2009.

I followed the advice and it asks you to reboot the computer for it to take effect.  The antivirus 2009 actually came back up after rebooting which was a worry, however I went back into my computer/c:/program files to find it and now I could magically send it to recycle bin and then finally delete it, which it hadn't allowed me to do before. Have just done this and no sign of it back, so hopefully that't that!

    Hope this helps,

    Joe.
