Windows Vista Media Player Works on One Sound System, but Not on another RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a friend who has a problem. His problem is that his media player works fine when he's playing through his sound system at home, but it does not work fine when he plays it through my sound system at the club. The player will play half a song, and then the sound fades out to nothing. He has an ACER laptop. He can ask the player to play again, and the same thing happens, song plays for about halfway, then the sound goes to zero.

He takes his computer home, plugs into his system, works like a champ. The media player is version 11

I thought perhaps the reason was the difference in the length of the cord from his computer to the board, his cord is 6 feet long at home, mine is 25 feet, I thought, too much resistance, the sound card is working too hard.

He ran his cord on my system, and it still does the same thing.

    Any ideas.

    Thanks
