Front-end server service won't start RRS feed

    I know there are problems with this in general and its normally related to SQL problems but I cannot find the answer to the specific error I receive. Also, the installation of OCS 2007 Standard is new on our domain so I don't know if its been setup correctly.

    The error in the event logs is

    Description:

    I didn't do the install and don't know OCS so can anyone point me in the right direction for troubleshooting? Maybe its something really simple I am missing,

  • Open Event Viewer and take a look at the Office Communications Server section of the log.  Usually if the Frond End service won't start there will be errors and/or warnings there.  Let us know what you find.

  • Verify your certificates are correctly installed and verified also.  Best bet is to run the verification tool from the OCS setup CD.  This will verify that all of the steps have been accomplished correctly and assist you in correcting any problems.
