Share another pc's drive with WHS's website access RRS feed

    I have data on a machine other than WHS, and I do not want to transfer it to WHS because of its size.  I do want to share it using the WHS website.  Anyway to do that?

    No, there is no way to share remote data from your server.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    You could, however, install any FTP server to transfer files. Though not supported by Microsoft, you can share any hard drive files using FTP.

    There's indeed no (easy) way to directly share ta drive or any folders on the client in the way the WHS shares are available on the remote access web page.

    What you can do however is simply connect to the PC (if supported by the OS, XP Pro, Vista Ultimate, Business or Enterprise) from the computers tab and allow access to the local drives on the client. In this way you have remote access to the files on the client.
