Asp.net application running slow in one machine. RRS feed

  • same application running one machine fast and another machine slow . It is taking 3 sec to load data and another machine taking 29 sec to load page. Only 2500 records in database.

    Also, when you repost, please include much more detail (I can't stress that enough). If I were to change this question to something about cars it would be similar to saying 'my one car runs slow but my other car runs fast. they both have plenty of gas in the tank. why is that?'. We would be grasping at straws.

    Maybe better for you to start out doing a Google or Bing search on how to profile performance for an asp.net application.

    Maybe, the second machine is some old raggedy machine, a doorstop.  It could be that some raggedy something is running on the machine that is slowing it down. Maybe the machine nic is only cranking at 10mips and not 100mips. It is at the local machine level, and a two machine comparison is not a good comparison.
