Microsoft Office 2007 Validation Failed! OMG, what to do? RRS feed

  • Question

New laptop I got a few weeks ago  from Bestbuy which included the trial version of Office 2007.  Tired of getting the screen that I my trial would expire and since I did need the Office 2007, I clicked on the screen to purchase and in the process purchased online which I thought was from Microsoft as that is what the trial software linked me to.  After purchasing, downloading and activating it, I logged on to download the PDF converting files and in the validation process I got the message that the validation failed.  Looking at the email I got the product key from it is "trymicrosoftoffice.com"  Now I can't get the PDF writer installed and I feel like I've totally been scammed.  How does this happen?

WHAT SHOULD I DO?  I feel like disputing the credit card payment as I think I am a victim of fraud.
