  • Question

  • I have recently configured the crm 4.0..

On premise it is working properly..but when im trying to configure it by "Ifd +On premise" i have given my ip address and subnet mask.

    Ifd domain scheme:Https

    Ifd App root domain:domainname.com

    Ifd Sdk root domain:idomainname.com

    AD domain scheme:Http

    AD App root domain:servername

    AD Sdk root domain:servername

after giving all these i clicked on check DNS ,it is saying dns could not resolved "orgname.domainname.com"

  • IFD in CRM 4 requires that a user connects to the server via a URL of the form orgname.domainname.com, where orgname is the CRM organisation's unique name, and domainname.com is what you provide for the Ifd App root domain. It is necessary to ensure that there is a publicly available DNS entry for orgname.domainname.com that resolves to the CRM server's external IP address (or an IP address that any firewalls might map to the IP address).

In addition to the publicly available DNS entry, it makes sense to create an internal DNS entry, as that's what will be used when you click 'check DNS'. The most likely cause of your problem is that you don't have this DNS entry
