Is my Window 7 Ultimate Product Key valid?

Question
-
I have been successfully running Windows 7 for several months and then I received a message that my license key was blocked as it was apparently a MSDN license key. I then bought a unopened boxed copy of Windows 7 Ultimate online, and the key for that won't activate either. I ran the MGADiag application and have pasted the report below. Can anyone tell me if my new key is valid?

Unfortuately, your MGA Report shows a non-genuine Windows 7 Ultimate license because it is an unauthorized MSDN Subscription "not-for-resale" product key. If you really want to fix this issue properly, purchase a genuine Windows 7 Ultimate (Full Version) product key from the trustworthy Microsoft Store.

Is the copy you bought online an upgrade or full license copy?
There are tens of thousands of counterfeits produced in China and being sold by individuals and discounters, especially on eBay and the Amazon Marketplace (the Amazon Corp. site is OK) as well as a host of discounter web sites. Avoid avoid avoid.
If you want to avoid reinstallation of Windows or restoration of your old system, purchase a full license copy of Ultimate from the Microsoft Store and then you can just change the product key.

It was supposed to be a full licensed copy in the original unopened box. I did end up purchasing a fully licensed copy from the MS store today and changed the product key to get it working. I'm just amazed at how much work went into creating authentic-looking pirated copies based on a MSDN key.

I got taken by the scam also. Got my money back. The counterfeiters have access to very advanced equipment in China. As the YouTube video shows, they made a few mistakes, but it takes a knowledgeable eye to spot them.

The only way to avoid the counterfeits is by buying from a known safe source.
