  • Question

  • Happy New Year Everyone,

I have some question because I am confused about certification in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.

For the MB7-840 As i see in the certification owerview it says that:

"When you pass Exam MB7-840: NAV 2009 C/SIDE Introduction, you complete the requirements for the following certification(s):

    And in MB7-841 it says:

"When you pass Exam MB7-841: NAV 2009 C/SIDE Solution Development, you complete the requirements for the following certification(s):

Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions Specialist"
     ref: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=MB7-841&locale=en-us

    1. Why there are different certification titles? What is the difference of this two?

I have passed both of them and in my certificate for both is the title   :Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist C/SIDE Introduction and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist C/SIDE Solution Development.

    2. Should the MB7-841 be Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions Specialist C/SIDE Solution Development?

    3. When you pass an Exam MB7-xxx should you get two certificates: One with General Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (without specifying the title of certification) and another Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist C/SIDE Introduction ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best Regards,
    B.C.

  • 1) MB7-840 is C/SIDE Introduction and MB7-841 is C/SIDE Solution Development.  Two completely different certifications.  You can see the differences between the two be comparing the skills measured in both exams.

    2) No.  Read the following for further clarification http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/dynamics.aspx

    3) Not sure about this.  I know it worked that way for my Developer and SQL Server certifications.
