Cann't configure microsoft crm for outlook version 4 RRS feed

  • Hi Khalid,

Have you spilt the MS CRM Server roles on the CRM Server? Are the application server role and the platform server role on separate servers?

The error that you have reported occurs when the ms crm client is not pointed to the server that has the Discovery Service server role.

This is how I was able to resolve the issue.

1- Put the URL to the Web site that has the Discovery Service server role. Do not put the URL to the Web site that has the Application Server Role.

2- Do not use the URL that was used to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM through Windows Internet Explorer.

3- Make sure that you enter the correct URL for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web site. The URL should not contain an existing organization.

Details about server roles are posted at the URL below.

If you have not split the server roles or the above does not apply in your case then I strongly recommend that you log a ticket with MS CRM Support.

    Hassan.

  • Maybe you're using HTTPS instead HTTP. Does CRM server is working fine ? You can access CRM via web client ?

  • Do you have Premise, Hosted or Online CRM server ? You need to provide in configuration wizard only server name (http://<servername>)
