CRM Security Model - Error RRS feed

  • Hi All ,

    Instance : CRM 2013 Online

    We have created Root Business unit --> Parent BU -->Child BU , created security roles at Root business unit level.

    And we are trying to test this , we have assigned a security role to a user and assigned a child BU to that user.

    But still , when user tries to login - CRM throws an error saying 'Insufficient Privileges' , Am i missing some thing ?

    Any suggestion here would be highly appreciated.

                When you created the security role, did you copy one of the existing security roles, or create something new. If its a new role there are a minimum set of privileges you need to assign on that role for a user to work effectively with CRM. If is very difficult to find these on the online system but if you have you solution on an on premise box you can enable tracing and work through which roles are missing.  If you do not have access to an on premise system it might be easier to copy an existing role like sales person and remove the privileges you do not want the user to have and add in any custom ones you do.
