Hi,
In CRM 2011 prefix value is set into the Publisher information and it will be only affected for new customizations. During CRM ogranization setup CRM creates aDefault Publiser (i.e. Default Publisher for <ORGNAME>) record so if you will customize the system fromSettings->Customization->CUstomizations->Customize the System (Default Solution) then the prefix value of Default Publisher will be used or if you will customize by opening Solution fromSettings->Customization->Customizations->Solutions then solution related publisher prefix value wil be used. To change the prefix value in CRM go toSettings->Customization->CUstomizations->Publisher, double click on the publisher record, enter prefix value as per required and save record.

HI,
You can change the schema prefix by going to Settings -> Administration, then click system settings and select customization tab(CRM 4). Rememeber it cant be mscmr and should be between 2 -8 alphanumeric characters.
