Limits on Amount of Synchronized Contacts between CRM and Outlook? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Are there any hard (or suggested) limits on the number of contacts that can be sychronized between Outlook and CRM?

I have a client that wants to sync up roughly 4,000 records (all his organziations contacts) and am concerned that synchronzing is going to impact Outlook performance.

Is there any documentation on this?

  • Hi Mark, there's no documentation available because it all depends to the specification of the client and, eventually, the total mailbox size. I have a quad-core i7 processor with 8GB memory and 1TB hard disks -- no problems syncing 4,000 contacts on my laptop. I had a client who wanted to sync 10,000 contacts onto his ultraportable laptop and couldn't understand why "Microsoft wouldn't allow him to" ; )
