CRM 2016 for Outlook, Set Regarding disappeared from appointment, meeting, task... RRS feed

  • Hi,

    After Microsoft upgraded our CRM online to CRM 2016, we installed CRM 2016 for Outlook in user's machine accordingly.  However, users later found that 'Set Regarding' disappeared from ribbon after the installation if user creates a new or updates an existing appointment.  This is the same to meeting, task, etc.  'Set Regarding' is available in ribbon for a list view, but not in ribbon in individual activity form.  I wonder if other people experience the same problem.  Thanks.

  • We are seeing the same issues in our organization.  It is not wide spread but have been unable to find a solution to the ones that doe have this happening.  

    Our environment is Windows 10, CRM 2016 with O365 (2016).  

    A thorough search is not resulting in a solution.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    It was resolved in our case.  The solution is: add 'My appointment' and 'My recurring appointment' back to <User Filters> in <Synchronization Settings for Outlook or Exchange>.  You can access <User Filters> either thru Outlook or CRM web.  In our case, someone deleted all user filters completely.  That causes when an appointment is launched in Outlook, Set Regarding does not shown in 'CRM' ribbon.

    How to access <User Filters>: <Set Personal Options> => Synchronization tab => filters => <User filters>. Hope this helps you too.
