Redirect Powershell output to its Scheduled Task History RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi scripting guys!

I have a ps-script in which I am writing some informations, which might be useful to know later, when looking for any signs of trouble. This could be like the Measure-Command cmdlet.

This script is used within a Scheduled Task and in here my useful information is lost. I have seen some examples, where the output is directed towards a logfile, but I am more interested in getting this information into the History of the Scheduled Task.

Is there anyway of doing this?

  • Just a thought as the Scheduled task history is written to the event log vent Viewer (Local) / Applications and Services Logs / Microsoft / Windows / TaskScheduler / Optional

you maybe able to write something to the event log
