Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy not genuine - message after issues with install of Wacom Driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • I tried installing a newer version of the Wacom driver for my Bamboo tablet CTH-460 and my theme changed and functionality was altered. I reinstalled the original driver that came with the tablet in an attempt to get the functionality back while in safe mode.

When rebooting, the computer did a check disk and fixed all kinds of problems including unindexed files and missing things etc. Then it started. But I got a completely black screen. Then when attempting a reboot using CTL-ALT-DLT the screen appeared and the message in the bottom right corner appeared.

I have been reviewing the threads and don't see my specific issue or circumstances.

    Here is my Diagnostic file:

I'm pretty sure from reading various threads that the software has been corrupted and that is why I am getting the message. The computer is 1.5-2 years old and I've never had any error message about valid software. I had the computer built for me and paid for software and I'll assume I would have had an error message before now and it would not have been updating regularly if I were using pirated software.

I am not comfortable with just following the various suggestions and trying them as I work for myself and the computer is the backbone of my business.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Sherri
