Zoom Feature RRS feed

  • Question

  • Older versions of S&T allowed you to zoom in by using the courser.  Was that feature removed or just well hidden?

  • Changed.  Double-left-click to zoom in, shift-double-left-click to zoom out.  Or drag a rectangular area (right-click and drag)  and left-click to zoom in plus other zooming options as described in Help.

  • Hi Loesch,

The feature you are looking for was modified in version 2009; now use the right mouse button (instead of the left one) to select the area of the map to zoom to.

As Philip has pointed out, there are also other methods of adjusting the zoom level.

  • But, Marvin, the right mouse button only pulls up a context menu of which the zoom is just one of the options.  Double-left-click results in an immediate one-level zoom.

  • Philip, the OP was asking if a feature was removed. No zoom-related feature was ever removed; only one zoom-related feature was modified (in ST2009); and now we have to use the right (instead of the left) mouse button to perform the operation (press right-mouse button and drag to select...).
