Mapping Wont Work

Question
-
Hi,
I have some custom fields in a Lead that I want to map to an customer fields in the Opportunity entity.
Everything works fine when i create a lead & qualify
however
ive created a workflow that qualifys a lead, creates an account & opportunity but when this fires, mapped entities dont update.
I was wondering if there was any reason why this wouldnt work?
Thanks in advance

mapping is form(client side) based thats why it works when you qualify the lead from the form.
workflow runs on the server. datamaping does not work in plugins and workflows.
I hope this helps.

What type of fields is it? If its an option set then cannot be mapped. Only global option sets can be mapped.

Thanks for your response
They are in fact option sets.
Not sure how to change in option set into being a global one (if this is possible)
what is confusing me is that it works when i do a manual lead creation & qualify

If it works manually then it should work using workflow.
May be I am wrong .. May be it might be possible to map optionset value if they are equal. I will have to check.
You cannot convert an Optionset To global you will have to recreate it.
