Calendar Alerts don't do anything? RRS feed

  • I specifically purchased Microsoft Works 9 for my new computer to get the Calendar Alerts that I used daily with my original Works calendar on my old computer.    I have set the calendar appointments and the Alerts, but they do not pop up when I turn on my computer. Is there something more I am supposed to be doing, different than the way I have set them the past couple years?? It is very disappointing that it isn't working.
