I'm a bit confused - are you having trouble installing IE7 Beta2 on XP? Or trouble installing Vista?

Can you please run this tool

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

and copy+paste its output to a reply?

  • Windows Vista Beta 2 already includes Internet Explorer 7 Beta.  Thus, there is no need to download it.  The IE7 Beta download is only for Windows XP.

  • Did you read the part where I said vista failed during the installation saying it couldnt find the "windows iso" then quit.

I just got IE beta 2 from another site and it let me install it, passed the validation etc.

EDIT: no wait it just errored and said it couldnt install, just like vista did??????

  • If you downloaded a Windows Vista .ISO image, you need to then record the image to a DVD disc using a third-party utility such as ISO Recorder, Nero, or Roxio. After the image is propered recorded to a DVD disc, you can begin to install Windows Vista Beta 2.

How can I write ISO files to CD? http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

    Nero: http://www.nero.com/us/index.html

  • I already burned it to a dvd and it gets to the bit in the install where it reboots then it fails saying it cant find the windows iso.

Internet explorer beta 7 fails to install as well.

WGA fails, yet i ran that diagnostic tool and it said it was genuine.

fresh xp install so its software bugs, what else can it be.

A quick search of the internet on your Key shows that it's been well-published, but surprisingly appears not to be blocked on your machine.
From this, it would appear that you have a counterfeit Windows installed.
You also have a counterfeit copy of Office installed.
I suspect that the key-check in the SP3 installer is objecting to the Windows Key in use. You need to change the Key to a legal one for your machine Is there a COA Sticker on it? If so, what version and edition of Windows is quoted?

Please post this information in your response, in a NEW thread
