If you're using CRM to send emails they will not appear in your Sent Items unless you actually send them from Outlook.

Look for your user account in the CRM application and look for your profile for sending emails. If it is set to Dynamics CRM for Outlook, that means that you should install the CRM for Outlook component to send the emails.
You can also update your profile to define the use of the Email router that you should already have installed.

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:58 PMI have installed the crm outlook client as my sending and recieving profile is set with Dynamics CRM for Outlook. I ran the workflow but again Im not able to get the email. I checked system jobs is says Succeeded.
*With sending and recieving profile =Email router It works fine.
What are the pros and cons of these two types.

First you say that it doesn't work when just send an email from "Acitvities" and now you talk about workflows that dosn't send the email? Does that means that you got it to send just by sending a Direct Email?
If not, then check the Options in your Outlook client and make sure that the "Allow Microsoft Dynamics CRM to send e-mail using CRM For Outlook" option is checked. Otherwise they will never go out.
Once you have done that, try to send an email from CRM, synchronize CRM and then check if that ends the email.
Steen Schlüter Persson (DK)Wednesday, March 31, 2010 9:56 PMMy apologies for not being clearer. Unless the email is sent by hitting the Outlook send button, it will not appear in the Outlook sent items.
