Using the partner/customer portal in lieu of an IFD config with an all on premise infrastructure? RRS feed

  • Hey fellows,

    Here is the problem: we did, with ms assistance, an IFD configuration at a customer site but it turned out to be very complex to setup and get going.

    The client does not have in-house resources to maintain or reproduce this configuration therefore we are exploring other ways of exposing CRM data online.

    Do you guys think the partner/cust portal would be an appropriate solution for such a scenario?

    Does it requires using an IFD ?

    How does the portal solution plays with existing customization especially sitemap customization?

  • The portal framework will work with any deployment option for CRM - it does not require any specific deployment type.
