CRM 2013 integration with external database RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I am having external database which consits of the company information

    Like company Name, email address etc..

    This same information i have to integrate with CRM account entity..

    can you please suggest me how can i do  this ?

  • We did something similar a while back.

    I extracted the database into a CSV file and uploaded it to a custom entity that I'd created in CRM to handle this data. I then created a 1:N relationship between Account and the custom entity. I then went into each record on the customer record and selected the account that it needed to update. Once this was in there, I wrote a workflow that I ran against each record in the custom entity to update the account (parent) record with the information in the custom entity. Once everything was updated, I deleted the workflow and the custom entity.
