Disable auto-save of draft emails RRS feed

  • <p>When a crm user replies on a received email but then cancels the email by clicking the form away (without saving offcourse) there's always a draft email that's saved automaticly. </p><p>Can this auto-saving of draft emails be avoided by some kind of setting or is the cause scripting in the onload of the email form? Important, there's no saving done in the scripting.</p>

  • Hi,

    In CRM i don't know how do that but you can try change this settings directly in outlook:

    Options -> E-Mail Options (avoid automatically save or increase the time to save)

  • Which roll up is installed in your CRM system? I believe this was issue prior to roll up 12.

    please try installing latest rollup and see if this resolve the issue.

  • Rollup 8 is installed on the server.

    Concerning rollup12, i can't find this issue in the issues that are resolved in Update Rollup 12 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

  • I guess this was fixed in rollup 11 v2, see below thread for the same..

    if you got DEV environment and issue is replicated on this environment, I suggest installed latest rollup and see if fixes this issue, if yes then you can installed rollup on your LIVE environment.

  • Can't try it.

    After installing Rollup 11 v2 I get an exception when starting Crm :

    'System.Nullable`1<Int32>
    Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.Query.QueryExpression.get_TopCount()'.
    Error Message: Method not found: 'System.Nullable`

    I guess I have to recompile all our custom plugins and workflows with the latest SDK 5.0 version, but can't do that now.
