Cannot access the "connect" site on port 443 RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I try to https://XXXXX/Connect  I get a 404 response. But if I instead try https://XXXXX:65515/Connect I can connect. Unfortunately when I then try to install the connector it cannot find the server.

The computers with the connector installed do not have any problems so it appears a problem with the website. What I don't understand is that I can connect through port 65515 but not through port 443. I've checked the bindings for the default website and both ports are bound correctly but with different certificates.

You should connect through http://XXXXX/connect/ (i.e.standard http)

    Ah. OK.
Not sure why you think the problem is with the website...
Assume you can connect, download the installer and start the connector installation...

Can you describe in more detail what error(s) you get?
Try connecting using the servers IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.XXX) instead of the server name?

  • I identified the problem as a firewall blocking some other ports which are apparently used in the install. Now I just get "An unexpected error has occurred" when I try to install the connector.
