I use Synctoy 2.1 to echo sync multiple folder pairs to back up left folders on my computer's internal drives to a single large external. Can I continue to run programs, surf web, etc. while Synctoy runs?
Of course you can. Just if you the files you want to sync are used by your running program, then this file will not be synced by SyncToy, an error will be report. This is by design.

Thank you, Ping. I interpret what you write as that I can run a program, but any file I use with the program will not echo, and the log will show error.
