We currently have CRM 3.0 running in our organization on SQL 2005.

We installed CRM4.0 data on SQL 2005.

What are the steps to Migrate the CRM 3.0 data to CRM 4.0?

This is usually done during the upgrade automatically. You want to make backups first though. I would upgrade your current server instead of installing a new one.
