Windows 7 Search Box Problem over Network Shares RRS feed

    Hello,

    I have a very strange problem regarding windows search and WHS.  I'm not sure if the problem is a Windows 7 problem or WHS.

    I have a network share called \\SERVER\Duplicated\Torrents

    I can access files in this share no problem...I can copy, delete, etc.  I can even search the share using the search box.

    My problem is accessing the search results.  If the filename is over a certain length, I am unable to open the file.

    Not sure how to insert an img, so here's a link to a screen shot i took.  Notice only the shorter filename is accessible via the search results.  If I try copy one of the longer filename files windows will error out and say the file cannot be found, yet the file does exist.

    Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Are you sure it's not the special characters.  Do both machines have the same locale set?

    I don't think I have any special characters in my file names (see the image url).  The region on both my client/server is English/United States.
