We seem to have a copy of Outlook 2007 (and a separate copy of Office Home & Student 2007) that comes up as not genuine. So I have bought genuine copies, and need to uninstall the old copies and reinstall the new copies with the new product keys.
So, question #1, with Outlook, when you uninstall does this leave contacts, calendar entries and emails in tact, so that they will all be there for the new copy of Outlook?
And question #2, will my uninstall/reinstall plan work? I read a support question on the MS forum that said you have to delete the OPA file as this contains the old product key, and it is not deleted when you uninstall?
Suggest that we run the mgadiag on the installation(s) of Office and/or Outlook first just to be sure, then go from there.
