The normal way this is done, using Advanced Bills, is to do what you've done to schedule these recurring items. Then you can edit the scheduled item(s) and set it (them) to enter in the register automatically X days before scheduled. This will keep
you from messing with them but not force them into the register far in advance.
To project balances (cash flow) going forward, the way Money is designed to be used is you get all these kinds of things you want to get scheduled in the Bills & Deposits, then use the tool called Forecast Cash Flow. It will take currrent register information
for a given account or several accounts and then overlay on top of that, the forward projections of all of your scheduled items, and, optinally, budgeted expenses.
