  • Thanks a bunch for your input and I can see now this clean-up process does seem to be a joke on us Using onecare. and after reading these links from JimR1 I don't know how soon I can try to do this but I know I have a bunch of files getting backed up that don't need to be. That's why i wanted to clean out the back-up.

I have ADD and it will take my head a little bit to get this all figured out and get brave enough to go through with this process.

I do like the protection very much with onecare and have told many about it.
Now I'll have to tell that the back-up process sucks when it comes to cleanig up and deleting.

I have worked for years without really backing up files and thought it was finally great to be backing up more often and hassle free.

So much for the hassle free HUH?.

I'll have to try and remember to get back to you to share how much this all helped, or not.

A few months ago I turned off the back-up when i figured out i couldn't do a clean out.
Thanks again for the posts for deleting back-ups in one-care.

I really haven't had any other problems with one care's protection after 2 years.
I just can't remember to do somethings i need to when following through with needs.

Please let me know if other better ideas come up about this subject.

  • If your backups are stored on an external drive and there is no data on the drive other than the One Care backups you can format the drive then do a new full backup.
