Not about your microsoft account, it can't find your visual studio account. May need to create a new one. Something here might help.

or also ask over here.

Thanks for your reply. The Visual Studio sign-in page sent me here, as did your first link. Is a Microsoft account different from a Microsoft Visual Studio account?Tuesday, October 10, 2017 2:02 PM

Is a Microsoft account different from a Microsoft Visual Studio account?
Yes, it is different. The microsoft account provides the underlying authentication mechanism. A Visual Studio account or MSDN/Technet forums account are associated with and use your microsoft account but only for the authentication. It sounds to me like you do not yet have a visual studio account.

Visual Studio offers me 3 links: Sign in, Sign up, or create New Account. All 3 end up with Microsoft account requesting a user id and password, which was rejected every time. Is there any other way of creating a Visual Studio account or would I be better to reinstall V.S.? I am using my Zen e-mail address as the user id, and the same password I use to access this Microsoft account, could this be a problem?
