How to restore Microsoft CRM default reports? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,
    i've a problem restoring Microsoft CRM 4.0
    default reports.
    I try by PublishReports tool but i think that this can restore reports only if there is a correspondent record in the ReportBase table of Microsoft CRM Database for each report.
    To simulate this happen, try delete all reports from Microsoft CRM application and launch the PublishReports tool.

    Behavior (on Microsoft CRM VPC):

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server\Tools>PublishReports.exe MicrosoftCRM
    01:40:28|   Info| PublishReportsFromDatabase: Begin.

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server\Tools>

  • John,

    The PublishReports.exe command tool by default will publish reports which described in the reports folder, e.g: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Reports\publish.config

    Please check if you have publish.config file(15KB by default)

  • Hi Jim,
    I have the
    publish.config file.
    It is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Reports\ directory;
    Rdl Files are in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Reports\MSCRM\ directory;
    PublishReports.exe is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Tools directory;

    Should i copy these files in a different directory?
