  • I was just informed that you don't need a reason for editing anymore - so why do we still have the "reason" box?

  • It's optional. And you don't need a reason for editing your own posts, but moderators still have to provide reasons for editing or deleting other people's posts.

  • I also noticed that I don't need to supply a reason for deleting my own post.

  • Correct. Moderators only need to supply reasons for editing and deleting other people's posts.

  • That's not how it works for me.  I need to type something when I edit my own post to avoid getting slapped with "There was an error...".  Both when I edit or try to delete.  Just checked it again in the sandbox to make sure.  Yup, slap. Type "No!".  Slap.

  • Hans, I found it. this was a bug I had fixed, and I thought the fix was already in production. It doesn't look to be. Not that it helps you, but the strange bhavior only occurs for Moderators (of any forum) that try to edit their own posts... regular users have no issues... (we were missing parenthesis in an and/or statement)
