Wrong Peer Name on LCS when calling User on OCS RRS feed

    Hello everybody,

     

    i have setup OCS 2007 in an environment where LCS 2005 allready exists.

    LCS and the coresponding access proxy are installed with SP1 an the required hotfixes (KB911996, KB921543).

     

    All users are still on LCS but i have two test users which are hosted on the ocs pool.

    Everything is working fine, but sometimes (without doing any configuration changes) users on the LCS pool see the presence info from the test users on the OCS pool as "status unknown".

    Also if i will write to those testusers and have logging turned on, i get the following messages in the log of the LCS server:

    if i try to write from the OCS user to the LCS user (OCS Users see the correct presence status from the LCS users) everything works fine. Also the LCS user can answer without any problems, but still has the OCS as status unknown in the contact list.

     

    I think it has anything to do with the establishment of the MTLS session from LCS to OCS (because other direction seems to work) but why this error just happens sometimes?

     

    As long as i do not resolve this problem, i can not move my users to the ocs pool.

    This often is an issue with a Security feature in LCS. Are you running an enterprise edition server for OCS without a Load Balancer?

     

     

    If so, add a 2nd IP address to the NIC card on the OCS server and point the FQDN of the pool to this ne IP address.
