  • Congrats and thanks to WHS team. After you get back from taking some time off, I would like to just suggest a few things to consider:

    - Build future WHS platform off Vista/Server 2008 kernel and components

    - Try to sync WHS releases with Windows Client releases

    - Figure out a way for Windows Home Server to centralize/manage DRM for a home entertainment network

    - Map out a Windows Home Server/Media Center/XBox/Zune strategy a how you can build synergy between all of them

    - Provide a WHS to WHS migration capability in next release

  • My wish items:
-Map the folders on the WHS server to the clients via folders or drive letters as many programs hate network shares.
    -Incorporate MCE.
    -Make printer installation easier.
    -Let OneCare work with WHS.

  • Lyme, you should keep tabs on the OneCare 2.0 Beta.

  • I've been doing that, so far I tried to install the beta however it wanted me to buy a new onecare license and so I've reverted back to 1.0 stable.

  • Very great ideas sir. I think whs should have an outlook express or some sort of email storage

  • Yes an email server would be nice and some kind of messenger to contact other users on the network.
