My site is not properly listed on Live.com RRS feed

  • Question

  • My site www.office999.co.uk is fine on Google and Yahoo.

Live does not list my site If you try office999.co.uk,
    http://www.office999.co.uk or even www.office999.co.uk.

Live lists sites that link to us but not my site.

However it finds two of my 5000 pages if you search using live.com and this text site:www.office999.co.uk.

Why doesn't live list my site?

  • Hi Brett,

I have the same problem too with my site www.debeuf.de.

A few weeks ago my site was listed correctly.
When I came back from 3 weeks of holiday, I was surprised to see, that I can't even find my domain, when searching for "debeuf" only. We are the only "debeuf"s in germany. This worked before and it still works fine with google and yahoo.
Now, when I look at the webmaster center, only 3 pages are listed, no errors and nothing is blocked.
When I click on the 3 (pages indexed), it shows me only 2 pages and the are the less relevant of my site.

    Best regards

  • Hi, in my case I assume, that the problem was an invalid sitemap.xml file. I remember that I recently used a tool to create a new sitemap.xml, but I don't remember which tool it was. I copied over the result in my sitemap.xml. The problem was, that I copied some minus characters ("-") at the beginning of each tag. The crawler of Google and Yahoo seams to ignore that. Unfortunately none of the webmaster tools reported this error. Only Visual Studio noticed it.

Currently I'm still not listed in www.live.de. I assume, that this will take some days.

    best regards
