Gold Certification in Software Development RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

Apologies if this question has been asked a million times...

We are going for Gold Certification in Software Development and the criteria is:

    Credential Requirements
Your organisation must employ or contract with four unique MCPs who each hold one of these certifications:
    MCPD: Enterprise Applications Developer 3.5
    MCPD: Windows Developer 4

Can someone confirm to me the difference between the Certification in Application Integration and Software Development as I am unable to work it out :(

I have two people on my team that has sat these exams so far and I can’t figure what they need to do for Software Development, all 6 exams or just a subset?

    - XML Web Services and Server Components with C#
    - Web Applications with C#

    - Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual C#
    - .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework and Developing
    - Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft® Visual Basic® .NET and Microsoft® Visual Studio® .NET

*Note I had a similar Thread on this already for the Application Integration Gold Certification but am still none the wiser for the Software Development track : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/CertGeneral/thread/d41ae69f-45fe-45a1-a16d-4093c1be5c3e

    Thanks

    Cheers

  • Hi,

In the 'new' program you need the same set again which Konrad describe in the precious answer. In the old program one could re-use the certification on other areas as well. Now days you can only use the certification once and need a different employee who does the same certification in order to achive the status.

So in short: all the exams are necessary

  • Hi,

    The MCPD Windows 4.0 would only be 4 exams, 70-511, 70-513, 70-516, 70-518.

Windows in this context really means WPF developer.

    Kind Regards,

    Ozzy Geoff

    MCPD Enterprise Applications Developer 3.5
    MCPD Windows Developer 4
