Win7 remote desktop won't connect

I am using win7 pro and after the last up date my laptop also using win7 pr cannot connect to my desktop. I get an error saying my password has expired. It doesn't say which passwoewd. I can connect to another desktop on the same network I can connect using Total commander. checked firewall and desktop inbound is on and working event viewer gives this --The Terminal Server security layer detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client. Client IP: 10.0.0.22.
