Migrate CRM 4 to a new server

Question
-
Good afternoon group,
I have the following environment:
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise with SP2 and 32bit and SQL Server 2005. I installed a new server with windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit and sql server 2008.
We need to migrate the CRM version 4 of the new server, any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Yan,
MS CRM 4.0 is supported on windows 2008 R2. Please see the link below.

As for moving from the old server to the new one. The steps for the actual migration from the old machine to the new machine will depend on the level of customization that you've had done to your server and the custom and external components installed on the machine.
You can read about the base steps for different scnarios for moving servers at the URL below.

Hi Yan,
Sure - this should go very smooth.
--Install crm and verify it all works ok on the new enviornment. Use a different organization name such as temp
--Backup your xxx_mscrm db and restore in the new sql server.
--On the new environment use the deployment manager to 'import' the organization.

Hi Alex,Thanks for answering,
Review the implementation documents and only says it supports windows server 2008 64bits and my server has windows server 2008 R2 64bits and I find no information that would confirm that can be implemented on that operating system.
My question, do you have any document that talks about implementing Windows Server 2008 R2? it's CRM 4 is supported to work on this operating system?
thanks for the help,
Yan
