I bought a Gateway laptop, (model #MX6426). Original operating system is, "windows xp media center edition 2005". It was upgraded to vista ultimate before my purchasing this laptop. I have no sound. When I mouse over the speaker icon at the bottom right
of the screen, it says that, "no audio output device is installed". I looked in the device manager. Listed under "other devices", -Mass Storage Controller, -Multimedia Audio Controller. Both listed with a yellow exclamation mark. What I dont have listed
in device manager is, -sound, video and game controllers-, which is where it should be instlled to, (from what I've learned). I reinstalled xp media, (original os), with the same outcome exactly.
Everything else is good
