can't "disable" startup tasks using msconfig RRS feed

  • keep getting a message that I should log on as Administrator, but I am an administrator.

     

    Please explain how I can keep so many tasks from starting each time I boot up, thx.

  • Right click on the Command Prompt shortcut (Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Command Prompt) and choose Run As and then run that as Administrator.  Then type msconfig in the Command prompt window and see if that works.  Otherwise, it sounds like you need to run antivirus and antimalware scans.
