Lost the hard drive,
now my key is not accepted
so I have to buy a new KEY??...ransomware

you may have had something on your computer before you updated it. I cleaned out my entire system before I updated to 10. I did the restoration that takes a day. or you did not download it from a trusted source. If that is what you did, that is on you. if not,I think there is a way you can still wipe your system clean. I don't know cause I have never done it, but it is worth researching so you don't waste money.Saturday, August 22, 2015 7:40 PM

Did you have an underlying OEM Key, or did you purchase your previous OS?
